About the Project

CIRLCE OF FRIENDS

THE PROJECT AND OUR VISION

Hello Friends! In 2018 we are introducing a single humanoid figure (aluminum sculpture) as a proof of concept piece and prelude to our full project release scheduled for 2019. The format will include the single humanoid figure and marker flags for where the full fleet of friends woudl be next year!

2018 COF Concept This concept is based on the Terracotta candle holder sculptures known by the same name. If you locate the heart-rate monitor connections, the heart will light up to the pulse of your heart-rate or collective beat of 2 connected participants.. Enjoy!!

Our 2019 full-scale project will feature 6 each 20’ tall figures complete with interactive fire effects, internal lighting and interactive lighted hearts (heart-rate monitor), in addition to a central fire pit with an interactive fire vortex. We’re also doing 2-person bench swings to allow you to relax and take it all in!

It is our hope that the interactive parts of our project will inspire new friendships and ultimately we can expand our great circle of friends through the amazing people we meet in doing this project! Rumor has it that we may be working on a giant live circle of friends perimeter around the art project on Day 5 or 6 during Burning Man 2019!! Maybe we can set a new world record of some kind?
